Lisburn Chamber, in conjunction with Retail NI, were delighted to welcome NIO Minister Conor Burns MP to Lisburn on December 21st for a series of visits to local businesses. The Minister met staff from Gordons Chemists to hear about their community pharmacy vaccination programme and the incredible work they are doing to help combat the pandemic. At Greens Foodfare our group toured the fabulous new store and heard about the produce supply problems still encountered as a result of the protocol. McCalls of Lisburn reported on the success of the High Street Voucher Card followed by a look behind the scenes in one of Lisburn’s newest businesses, the Daily Apron Bakery. Following delicious coffee and cakes in the cafe in Smyth Pattersons, the Minister was joined for a round table discussion by LCCC Chief Executive David Burns and Development Chair, Alderman Amanda Grehan. Very positive discussions across the board with actions points planned moving forward.
