Court Bosses is an innovative programme aimed at empowering girls in tennis to develop leadership skills and explore career opportunities in the sport.
The initiative, piloted in Lisburn, showcases our community’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting women in sports.
This pilot was celebrated at an event held in Hilden Tennis Club yesterday.
This event also launched the programme to become an all-island initiative with plans to impact young women across the island of Ireland and change lives.
Our President, Ruth Young, represented our chamber at this groundbreaking event, which brought together industry leaders, local government officials, and aspiring young athletes.
Nuala Philips, DEI of Hilden Tennis Club spoke at our last International Women’s Day event and highlighted the strong correlation between girls and women in sport with women in leadership roles across all sectors.
Women playing sports has much more impact than physical or mental health for that individual.
We’re thrilled to see such impactful programmes taking root in our area and look forward to the positive influence Court Bosses will have on the future of women’s tennis and leadership in business.
